North Notts' August News
August's Newsletter is a Nottinghamshire staycation special with information about visiting our region's beautiful Country Parks, open spaces and top North Notts attractions.
We include details about Visit England's new 'We're Good To Go' scheme, which encourages us to come out and visit places as well as the 'Eat Out to Help Out' government scheme where we can all enjoy a whopping 50% discount on food every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during August.
And, of course, we bring you the latest events happening across North Nottinghamshire.
Welcome to your August In North Notts Newsletter. COSTA DEL NOTTINGHAMSHIRE?...Have you given up the idea of going abroad for your holidays this year? OK, we might not get the sizzling temperatures of Spain and the south of France (apart from today!) but staying in the UK does sound a much simpler and hassle-free option. Perhaps it's time we discovered, or reminded ourselves, just how wonderful Great Britain really is! Visit England have plenty of ideas to inspire! WAITING TO WELCOME YOU IN NORTH NOTTS… |
We're delighted that some of our favourite places are re-opening again this coming Saturday 1st August... At National Trust Clumber Park, the Park, Pleasure Grounds, Walled Kitchen garden, retail/plant sales, Ice Cream Parlour and toilets are open daily, plus some takeaway food outlets offering light refreshments and hot/cold drinks. Booking in advance essential. |
These are just some of the wonderful open spaces and places available to enjoy in North Notts this summer. |
OUR LIBRARIES ARE OPEN!Hurrah! Most of our libraries have now reopened… but with reduced facilities and opening hours so do please check your local library before visiting. |
'WE'RE GOOD TO GO' SCHEME - YOUR NEW BEST FRIENDIf you’re still cautious about visiting new places during these unsettling times, you may find it helpful to look out for the ‘We’re Good to Go’ sign on premises, websites and social pages, etc. 'EAT OUT TO HELP OUT' SCHEMEWe all know how especially important it is to support our local businesses at this time and the government’s new Eat Out to Help Out initiative to help restaurants, cafes, pubs and other eateries looks like a winning idea for everyone! |
UPCOMING EVENTSThere are just a handful of 'real' upcoming events at the moment and some regular events have gone virtual this year. Let’s give them all the support we can to help them bounce back bigger and better next year! |
